Before — The Blank Canvas

Here’s what our entryway looked like before styling — beautiful bones with the oak staircase, black iron balusters, and that gorgeous beaded chandelier already in place, but needing warmth and personality!

The Chandelier — The Star of the Show

The beaded chandelier was always going to be the focal point of this space. Its organic texture and warm tone sets the perfect modern farmhouse mood the moment you walk in. I get so many questions about this light — I’ve linked a similar one below!

The Console Table

Finding the right console table for this space was so important. I needed something that felt organic and warm without being too heavy visually. This woven rattan console table was perfect — it adds texture and warmth while keeping the space feeling light and airy.

The Styling — Layer by Layer

Once the furniture was in place, styling the console was the fun part! Here’s how I approached it:

The Vase & Cherry Blossoms A tall white ceramic vase with faux cherry blossom branches instantly adds height and drama. The white blossoms feel fresh and romantic without being fussy.

The Mirror An arched mirror on the console is a classic entryway move — it reflects light, makes the space feel larger, and adds that soft curved shape that balances all the straight lines of the staircase.

The Books & Lamp A stack of coffee table books adds colour and personality. I topped mine with a white shell bowl for texture. The black table lamp adds a grounding dark element that ties in with the black iron balusters on the staircase.

The After — Full Reveal

And here it is — our finished modern farmhouse entryway!

Here are all the pieces I used to style our entryway — all linked for easy shopping!

Our entryway went from a beautiful but empty space to one of my favourite spots in the whole house. The key to styling an entryway is to go tall, add texture, and include at least one statement piece — in our case that stunning beaded chandelier does all the work!
